The Adventures of Super Jayn
Super Jayn isn’t a magical identity that fixes things. She’s five years old, she gets scared sometimes, and she made herself a cape out of the palest yellow fleece — not because it makes fear disappear, but because it helps her remember something true: being Super was never about being fearless. It’s about facing something hard and getting through it anyway.
Each book in the series follows Jayn through a new challenge — and each time, her cape earns another patch to remember it by.
Book 1: Every Hero Needs a Cape
Jayn decides that superheroes don’t get scared — so before the next storm hits, she needs to become one. She and Mom make a cape together. But when the thunder comes, Jayn learns that even superheroes get scared, and being scared doesn’t mean you aren’t brave.

A very dark hallway teaches Jayn a different kind of brave — that asking for help isn’t the opposite of being Super. It’s part of it.
